Precious look of love
To be honest...I don't really remember much of Erika and Tim's vows...
I was trying so hard not to cry that I sort of missed the things that they were saying to each other.
I know they promised to love each other and forsake all others.
Yet, If I could, I'd like a "do over".
I do know that the ceremony was very personal since Matt knows the couple so well and he talked about community and how the rest of us have a responsibility to the new couple to assist them as they go through good times and bad times.
And Matt talked about how Christ loves us and has ordained marriage.
It was beautiful.
I loved the back of Erika's dress.
She added the champagne colored sash and wore my veil.
Saying their vows.
This photo touches my heart
It looks as if Jonathan was staring off in to space ~ but in reality he was emotional about his sister getting married.
He has always had such a soft heart and always cared so much for his younger sisters.
Since I was a single mom for so many years he always felt like he was the man of the house and needed to protect us girls.
Therefore, he was struggling to maintain his composure during the ceremony.
So touching....
Even Erika shed some tears
Yet, there was one moment of laughter .
During the middle of her vows,
Erika all of a sudden leaned back towards her sister.
She whispered, "Michelle, Michelle"
We all sort of wondered what the heck she was doing...???
Well, the buttons on the top of her dress had come undone and she was almost going to have a 'wardrobe malfunction'.
Michelle quickly fixed her up and they went on with their vows.
It was pretty funny but Erika held it all together.
Lily kept busy eating the skittles that we added to her flower basket
The ring exchange
Erika had not seen her band prior to the ceremony.
She tried to get a quick peek at her new ring~
I think she liked it!
You can kiss your bride!!
