Old Fisherman's Wharf

While in Monterey, we also visited the Old Fisherman's Wharf. It is a touristy place, with shops and restaurants and other interesting things to see. We walked around, didn't buy anything, tasted all of the free samples of clam chowder and marveled at the sites. Ok - not really marveled, but we did enjoy our time on the wharf.
Brilliant blue sky again.

The breeze on the walkway was pretty cold....

After tasting all of those samples of clam chowder we ended up here:
Where Buzz fixed his craving for shrimp cocktail
And I had, hands down, the best clam chowder I have ever had. It was warm, creamy, and had just the right amount of potatoes and clam pieces. YUM! I would have bought cans of this if they sold it!
If you ever are in the Monterey Bay area, you need to stop here for a visit...if only for that chowder!
